With a continuous history spanning over 5,000 years, Argos stands as the oldest municipality in Europe. Every corner of the city tells a story: from the imposing Ancient Theatre of Argos to the mysterious archaeological site of Mycenae.

The symbol we created is deeply connected to this heritage: two of its three elements depict the famous Lion Gate of Mycenae and the Ancient Theatre, while the third element is a linear design found on many vessels displayed at the Archaeological Museum of Argos. This highlights that the Geometric Period and its artistic creations have deep roots in the ancient city.

Through the logo, the history, art, and tradition of Argos come alive, reminding us that every creation today carries within it the timeless legacy of the past.

Με ιστορία που ξεπερνά τα 5.000 χρόνια, το Άργος είναι ο αρχαιότερος δήμος της Ευρώπης. Κάθε γωνιά της πόλης αφηγείται μια ιστορία: από το επιβλητικό Θέατρο του Άργους μέχρι τον μυστηριακό αρχαιολογικό χώρο των Μυκηνών.

Το σύμβολο που δημιουργήσαμε συνδέεται στενά με αυτή την κληρονομιά: δύο από τα τρία στοιχεία αναπαριστούν την πασίγνωστη Πύλη των Μυκηνών και το Αρχαίο Θέατρο, ενώ το τρίτο στοιχείο είναι ένα γραμμικό σχέδιο που συναντάται σε πολλά αγγεία του Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου του Άργους. Αυτό αποδεικνύει ότι η Γεωμετρική Εποχή κι η τέχνη της έχουν βαθιές ρίζες στην αρχαία πόλη.

Μέσα από το λογότυπο, η ιστορία, η τέχνη κι η παράδοση του Άργους ζωντανεύουν, θυμίζοντας ότι κάθε δημιουργία σήμερα κουβαλά μέσα της την αιώνια κληρονομιά του παρελθόντος.
